Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Associate to join our Partner Success Team in Helsinki. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales, with a proven track record of success.

This role requires strong analytical and detailed thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with merchant partners, identifying growth opportunities, and driving partnership optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a Klarna payments expert and named account owner to dedicated merchant partners, providing consultative support to optimize their business.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of portfolio merchants' businesses through analysis and collaborate daily/weekly/quarterly to identify optimization and growth opportunities.
  • Engage actively with portfolio merchants' stakeholders, including c-suite, to build and maintain relationships and secure merchant satisfaction.
  • Identify new partnerships or business opportunities, pitch Klarna's services, build business cases, and close deals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal analysts, delivery, product, and marketing teams to drive partnership optimization, lead generation, and problem-solving.
