Espoo, Uusimaa, Finland Orion Pharma Full time

As a Project Director, you will be responsible, together with the relevant line organizations, for ensuring that the laboratories are designed and implemented for future purposes. You will drive the renovation and construction strategy creation; i.e., which laboratories will be moved to which facility, where to renovate old facilities, and where the building of new ones might be needed. You are responsible for budgeting and sequencing the entire project. An important part of planning is to generate a temporary facilities plan in such a way that delays in Orion's daily operations are avoided.

Your role entails managing a multidisciplinary facility renovation project organization with internal and external experts. You will work in close collaboration with Orion's facility management, RD's, Global Operations, Quality Management's, and Fermion's management and laboratory heads. You will ensure that the project delivers the set targets with high quality, and in a time and cost-efficient manner.

We are looking for a person who is an energetic, goal-oriented leader coupled with strong teamwork skills. You have a proven ability to motivate teams. Flexibility and the ability to cope with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities and environments come naturally to you. You also possess change management and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively drive discussions and decisions toward desired results. You have experience in laboratory operations and/or construction/renovation projects.

What we offer

We offer you a diverse, interesting, and challenging role and a strategic position in the multifaceted and international environment of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. You will be part of a top team with excellent team spirit and professional and helpful colleagues.

At Orion, your work creates true impact and well-being for our customers, patients, and society at large. Our culture of friendliness, respect, mutual appreciation, and diversity creates a safe working environment where you can strive for excellence. We offer a wealth of career paths and development opportunities that support the development of innovative solutions and improving the quality of life.

  • Previous experience in leading complex projects or programs. Experience in laboratory operations and/or construction/renovation projects is considered an advantage (but not a must).
  • Relevant education for the position, such as an academic business or technical education, M.Sc. in engineering/pharmacy/chemistry, or other equivalent higher education degree.
  • Experience in leading large change initiatives.
  • Analytical skills and a business-driven, dynamic, and proactive working approach.
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • In this job, both Finnish and English skills are needed.
