This critical role will lead Polestar Automotive Finland's retail sales team, leading our team of sales advisors and be in charge of both finance and insurance white label partnerships.
The position is located in our office in Helsinki and is an on-site position. You will report to the Head of Sales Finland. As a Retail Sales Manager, you will plan and implement retail sales campaigns and be accountable for empowering our retailers' Sales Managers in the region to achieve outstanding results. Within the Finnish organization, you will work closely with your colleagues in marketing, operations, and finance. You will have close contact with our global sales team as well as being the main point of contact for HQ in retail sales focused matters. Some domestic travel will be needed.
What You'll DoThe Retail Sales Manager will work closely with our Retail network and our partners Polestar Sales Managers, ensuring that we deliver exceptional experiences to our valued customers and achieve our monthly and yearly retail sales targets. You will collaborate with the Head of Sales to develop and implement effective retail sales strategies as well as plan and implement retail sales campaigns. You will lead and set clear performance expectations and goals for your Sales Advisor team. We expect you to keep updated with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. In addition to this you will:
- Set and measure sales targets to our Retail partners and support them to achieve the set targets
- Provide coaching and training to enhance the sales skills and product knowledge of the retailers' Sales Managers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our finance and insurance white label partners and other stakeholders within the region
- Monitor sales performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to drive improvement
- Build seamless cross-functional cooperation between different departments to achieve given targets
To be a great fit for this position we believe you are an experienced automotive professional who is highly motivated and result-driven. You need to have a customer-centric mindset and since Polestar is in a scale-up phase you need to thrive working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques. You need the ability and motivation to quickly demonstrate a mastery of all Polestar products and services.
You Also Need The Following Qualifications- Lower University degree (MBA) or Bachelor's degree in business or other suitable examination (master's degree preferred).
- More than 5 years of experience with Automotive in a client-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of the market and customer preferences in Finland
- Experience in leadership and people management. Preferred 3 years or more.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Planning and implementing both tactical & financial campaigns
- Fluent Finnish and English
- Good overall system knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Teams, etc.)
