Growth & Performance Manager - Sportsbook

We are looking for a highly motivated strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the competitive sports betting landscape. You will be joining a team that manages the whole product life-cycle, from product management to trading. As the Growth & Performance Manager, you will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, optimizing our positioning in the market, and driving initiatives that enhance our sportsbook offering. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial understanding, and a passion for sports betting. The role is full-time and permanent.

You will be leading the initiation, execution, and evaluation of impactful enhancements to our commercial offering, payback strategies, and overall product journeys, always with the consumer at the center - ensuring Veikkaus Sportsbetting is the preferred brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competitive Positioning & Growth Strategy
    • Identify growth areas and key selling points for Veikkaus Sportsbook in a competitive landscape.
    • Develop strategies to compete effectively with multiple operators.
    • Work closely with marketing to position the sportsbook effectively.
  • Data Analysis & Insights
    • Analyze betting patterns, customer segmentation, and impact by various growth initiatives.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine commercial strategies and optimize sportsbook performance.
  • Market Research & Customer Understanding
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Gain a deep understanding of our customer base to drive strategic decisions.
    • Use insights to influence partnership approaches and other teams' priorities.
  • Product Marketing & Consumer Engagement
    • Understand market dynamics and customer engagement from a core betting perspective.
    • Collaborate with product teams to enhance the sportsbook experience and portfolio.
  • Commercial Betting Strategy
    • Manage payback models and set ROI-driven budgets/targets.
    • Ensure strategic partnerships align with commercial objectives.
    • Drive customer incentives that complement our betting portfolio.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing, trading, and operational support teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to improve the commercial offering.
    • Drive sportsbook improvements alongside Product Owners and Product Managers.

We expect from you:

  • You have astrong background in sports betting, with an in-depth understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.
  • You understandliabilities, risks, and trading strategies, ensuring a balanced approach to growth.
  • You are aself-starter, proactive in identifying and implementing changes to improve the sportsbook.
  • You haveexcellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting data and translating it into actionable insights.
  • You thrive infast-paced environments, collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders, from Product to Marketing.
  • You have strongfinancial understanding, with experience in managing payback models and setting strategic budgets.
  • You possess strongnegotiation skills, capable of securing partnerships that enhance the betting portfolio.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in similar roles with a company operating in competitive markets, with a proven track record of driving growth, optimizing commercial strategies, and delivering measurable results.

Language: English (plus for Finnish).

The role is based in Helsinki, at the headquarters of Veikkaus. Partial remote working (hybrid model) is also possible.
