Position Summary:

The Sales Business Developer is focused on developing business relationships and growing their own portfolio of clients.

Key position responsibilities:

  1. Create effective approaches to drive new revenue and close new business
  2. Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities
  3. Develop a full understanding of the capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages of TransPerfect's services and technology offering
  4. Educate and drive understanding with your clients regarding TransPerfect's value add processes and services
  5. Build client relationships across existing and new companies
  6. Engage in understanding clients' industries, business needs, and company culture to work strategically with your client and support their growth
  7. In coordination with your manager, identify opportunities and contacts that will lead to growing your book of business and expanding our partnership with clients in a strategic way
  8. Provide customer support and manage client expectations
  9. Quote, manage, and bill projects on a daily basis, coordinating with clients and production teams to ensure these run smoothly and profitably

Essential skills and experience required:

  1. Previous business development or sales experience in the localization/translation industry and/or ERP software background are highly desirable
  2. Ability to build and maintain relationships
  3. Superior written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish (must have)
  4. Good analytical skills are needed to project revenues, monitor budgets, and other necessary calculations
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  6. Minimum Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent
  7. Management and experience in building sales teams are a plus
  8. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, and take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
