Reaktor is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Defence & Security team in Helsinki.

Your Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level business development professional looking to deepen their expertise in product and project sales. You will play a key role in supporting and driving international product sales and DefSec project sales, working closely with senior team members. Your work will be essential in managing and optimizing operational sales processes and ensuring smooth communication with clients and other stakeholders.

Your daily responsibilities:

  1. Take charge of operational tasks that keep our sales efforts running smoothly.
  2. Engage with clients, handling daily communications and fostering strong relationships.
  3. Own sales processes and prepare sales materials, contracts, bid documents, and other export-related documentation.
  4. Develop impactful presentations, reference decks, and solution descriptions.
  5. Discover new opportunities, conduct lead generation and research on potential customers.
  6. Participate in customer meetings, create compelling proposals and monitor procurement portals for new opportunities.
  7. Track market insights, key industry movements and competitor activities.
  8. Collaborate with partners and subcontractors to strengthen sales efforts.

To thrive in this position, you'll need:

  1. 3-4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, whether in business development, account management or other similar role. This could be from consulting, DefSec, public sector or other relevant digital business fields.
  2. Good communication and collaboration skills, willingness to work within a team environment and ability to build relationships within stakeholders and technology teams.
  3. Good project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  4. Ability to pay attention to detail and create clear and structured sales materials.
  5. Goal-oriented attitude and curiosity for learning and growing in the sales field.
  6. Willingness to travel as needed for business development and client engagement.
  7. Fluent in Finnish and English (written and spoken).
  8. This role requires Finnish citizenship due to client and security regulations. This person will have to pass a security clearance process when hired.
  9. This is a hybrid position —on-site presence (2-4 days per week) is required as part of our business operations.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. Background in the Defsec sector.
  2. Experience with public sector tendering processes.
  3. Experience in software or product sales.
  4. Familiarity with DefSec product business and procurement.
  5. Strong presentation skills.
