About the Role

u-blox AG is seeking a highly skilled Red Team Manager to strengthen the security of our products and services. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all activities of the red team to ensure independent security assessments, reviews, and penetration tests.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute penetration testing and security assessment plans to identify vulnerabilities in our products and services.
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define scope, plan timelines, and coordinate vulnerability disclosure to external parties.
  3. Manage the Red Team infrastructure and ensure its availability and functionality.
  4. Lead the Red Team and provide guidance on security best practices and procedures.
  5. Support the development of the Product & Service Security Roadmap.
  6. Perform penetration testing against u-blox hardware & software products, IoT firmware, and services.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with specific security certifications a plus.
  2. Minimum 5 years of penetration testing / red team experience, with at least 2 years of experience in IoT / embedded devices security.
  3. Familiarity with firmware security testing and reverse engineering of firmware binaries and software applications.
  4. Practical knowledge of interfaces like JTAG, UART, SPI, I2C, and wireless communication protocols (WIFI, MQTT, COAP, GNSS, and BLE).
  5. Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, using, and writing tools for penetration testing.
  6. Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
