About the Opportunity

The Head of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market penetration within the assigned region for BYD Europe. This position requires a strong leader who can develop and implement effective sales strategies, manage key accounts, and build strong relationships with customers, dealers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Collaborate with the Country Manager to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aimed at driving market share growth and meeting sales targets.
  2. Manage Key Accounts: Responsible for managing key sales metrics and KPIs of the region, collaborate with the dealers to achieve the agreed goals.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the dealers, key industry partners, and final users within the region.
  4. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports on a regular basis, providing insights into market trends, sales performance, and challenges.
  5. Market Development: Identify and develop new market segments and customer groups within the region in alignment with the company's overall business plan.
  6. Brand Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to organize customer events and promotional activities.
  7. Sales Team Management: Leads and develops the sales team, setting targets, and evaluating performance.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and collaboration across functions to support sales goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree above in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the car industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Finnish market, including customer preferences, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen to develop effective sales strategies and drive revenue growth.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and verbal. Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to travel as required within Finland and occasionally internationally.
