About Your Future Role

As a Credit Risk Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and managing risks associated with new and existing merchant accounts. You will collaborate closely with credit risk professionals across different entities to ensure robust risk management practices.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:
  • Assess counterparty default risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously monitor, analyse, and rate counterparties, identifying risks and implementing protective measures in partnership with the sales team.
  • Enhance risk management frameworks in the area of counterparty default risk.
  • Review and analyse financial documents, providing insightful reports and recommendations.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Nexi Group, ensuring alignment on risk strategies.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, ideally with additional training in risk management.
  • Strong background in cashless payment systems, credit cards, or financial services.
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit risk, ideally within a bank or financial institution.
  • Proven experience in financial data analysis, particularly in assessing mid-sized and large companies (e.g., balance sheets, financial statements, and corporate credit management).
  • Confidence in engaging with clients and decision-makers.
  • Fluency in Finnish, Swedish or Danish and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong reporting experience on BI and skills in Excel.
  • Excellent data management skills.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking.
  • High customer orientation, with a proactive approach to risk management.
Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out:
  • Programming languages e.g., Python or SQL are an advantage.
