Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland Nordea Bank Norge ASA Full time
Experienced Change & Process Specialist in Credit

Location: Stockholm, SE, 111 46 Helsinki, FI

Job ID: 25411

Group Credit Management (GCM) is developing with high speed to meet demand for credit decision automation while remaining compliant. Our work spans the End-to-End Credit life cycle from the Credit decision to Monitoring and control, as well as High-risk processes and Reporting. We collaborate within Group Business Support, with all Business Areas, and with Group Risk and Compliance.

We are running an initiative to improve data capture from our Credit Decision Process and support others with their business process automation agenda. We aim to significantly lower our marginal cost for non-financial risks, monitoring, governance, and reporting, including compliance with BCBS239 and the AI Act.

We are now looking for a Lead Change & Process Specialist to ensure the success of this initiative. This position offers an exciting opportunity for you to develop a key capability at the heart of Nordea.

About this opportunity

You will join Credit Capability, a unit within Group Credit Management, specifically the Information Capability team. Information Capability leads initiatives related to credit data foundation, data road map for E2E credit risk processes, and integrated data for reporting, monitoring, Early Warnings (EW), analytics, ML, and AI to optimize the GCM strategic change agenda.

You will lead the journey from requirements analysis to defining and implementing efficient processes and ways of working to ensure optimization and support our automation in the context of internal governance and non-financial risk management. Your goal is to lower our marginal cost and shift from reactive to proactive data gathering in a continuously changing environment.

As this initiative takes a holistic ownership approach, we expect you to bring your best knowledge and skills to the team to accomplish our goals. You should be self-driven, work with proactive, scalable, reusable, and resilient designs, and foresee potential issues before they materialize. We seek a team player capable of leading in the combined fields of data, risk, and process domains.

What we expect

You must have a proven track record of driving change for operational efficiency and establishing new or improved processes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to motivate others to strive for shared goals beyond your area of responsibility.

You should have strong knowledge and experience in translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions and generating new ideas for presenting data effectively to drive business insights and governance. This role aims to enhance our oversight, monitoring, and control of operational efficiency for risk management.

Your experience should encompass process design, establishing data-driven KPIs, SLAs, and ensuring they are stringent, coordinated, and aligned. Hands-on experience in creating standardized routines and designs that enhance usability and reduce the learning curve is essential.

We welcome applicants from all Nordic countries.

Who you are

Collaboration, Ownership, Passion, and Courage are values we uphold, and we hope you share these with us. To build a successful career with us, you'll work well with others and always act with the customers' needs in mind. You enjoy learning, trying new things, and bringing your ideas to the table. You are honest, dependable, and willing to speak up even when it's difficult, committed to empowering others.

To succeed in this role, we believe you are/have:

  • A high ability to understand and think strategically and holistically about topics.
  • Able to clarify strategy execution down to the activity level.
  • Very structured, easily communicate with people, and have an eye for detail.
  • High integrity and calm under pressure.
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • A team player comfortable working with diverse backgrounds and skillsets.
  • Focused on delivering results personally or through others.
  • Skills in capturing and refining business requirements for the change/IT organization.
  • A strong understanding of both business and IT and their linkage.
  • Experience in broad roles to validate thinking and visualize conclusions, such as Solution Architect or BI Analyst.

Your experience and background:

  • Highly analytical track record.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading Risk Management-related work is a must.
  • Proven experience in driving business requirements and implementing change.
  • Experience in data management and governance processes.

  • Experience as a Product Owner or Business Owner, familiar with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, relational databases (like SQL Server), and BI tools.
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in Business Intelligence is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft BI stack, ETL, and data zones as part of Data Warehouse architecture.
