Category Manager vastaa Novitan portfoliosta ja sen kehittämisestä brändin mukaisesti, hallinnoi valikoimaa ja hinnoittelua, sekä tukee analytiikalla tuotekehitystä, markkinointia ja myyntiä. Tehtävänä on varmistaa, että neulelankojen, -ohjeiden ja käsityötarvikkeiden tuotekategoriat vastaavat asiakkaiden tarpeita ja odotuksia samalla maksimoiden liiketoiminnan kannattavuuden. Tämä rooli vaatii syvällistä kategoriajohtamisen osaamista, analytiikan hallitsemista, kilpailijoiden ja markkinadynamiikan ymmärrystä, sekä toimialaan vaikuttavien trendien tunnistamista.

Category Manager toimii keskeisessä roolissa yrityksen pitkän aikavälin kasvun ja kilpailukyvyn kehittämisessä. Rooli edellyttää kykyä yhdistää strateginen suunnittelu operatiivisiin toimenpiteisiin, jotta tuotekategoriat pysyvät kilpailukykyisinä ja vastaavat kuluttajien odotuksiin.

Tehtäväsi

Strateginen suunnittelu

  • Luoda portfoliolle mittaristot ja tavoitteet, seurata toteutumista, ja tehostaa portfoliota niiden kautta.
  • Kehittää tuotekategorian strategiaa brändilähtöisesti osana yrityksen strategiaa, huomioiden asiakassegmentit, kilpailukenttä, sesonkivaihtelut ja käsityötrendit.
  • Positioida tuotevalikoimaa kilpailukentässä ja määritellä erottautumistekijät.
  • Tunnistaa tuotekategorioissa uusia mahdollisuuksia innovointiin.
  • Tehdä tiivistä yhteistyötä avainasiakkaiden kanssa valikoima- ja jaksosuunnittelussa.

Tuotevalikoiman hallinta, hinnoittelu ja kannattavuus

  • Rakentaa kattava valikoima, joka palvelee asiakastarpeita valituissa jakelukanavissa.
  • Määritellä analytiikan pohjalta tuotekehitystä yhdessä sisäisten sidosryhmien kanssa.
  • Seurata tuotteiden osuuksia kokonaismyynnistä ja hallinnoida elinkaarta osana portfoliostrategiaa.
  • Kehittää kilpailukykyistä ja kannattavaa hinnoittelua

Analytiikka ja raportointi

  • Analysoida tuotteiden performointia ja suunnitella tarvittavia muutoksia tai panostuksia.
  • Raportoida tuotekategorian kehityksestä ja tehdä suosituksia liiketoiminnan kehittämiseksi.
  • Seurata markkinaosuuden kehittymistä hyödyntämällä myyntidataa.

Tuotelanseeraukset ja -kampanjat

  • Kehittää tuotelanseerauksia ja -kampanjoita yhdessä markkinointitiimin kanssa.
  • Mitata ja optimoida markkinointitoimenpiteiden tehokkuutta tuotekategorioissa.

Markkinatuntemus ja kilpailija-analyysit

  • Seurata markkinatilannetta, kuluttajatrendejä ja ostokäyttäytymisen muutoksia, sekä ylläpitää ymmärrystä toimialasta ja käsityöharrastuksesta.
  • Analysoida aktiivisesti kilpailijoiden tuotevalikoimia, hinnoittelua ja erottautumista, sekä arvioida miten ne vaikuttavat oman tuotekategorian suoritukseen ja kilpailuedun kehittämiseen.

Odotamme sinulta:

  • Vahvaa kategoriajohtamisen kokemusta, joko käyttötavara- tai FMCG-tuotteista.
  • Näyttöä tuloksellisista kategoriajohtamisen projekteista.
  • Strategista ja analyyttistä ajattelua, sekä kokemusta datan käsittelyyn käytettävistä työkaluista (ERP-järjestelmät, ennustamisohjelmistot).
  • Kuluttajabrändin rakentamisen tuntemusta ja kokemusta.
  • Ymmärrystä toimitusketjun perusperiaatteista, varastonhallinnasta ja logistiikasta.
  • Soveltuvaa kaupallista korkeakoulututkintoa.
