Are you passionate about driving growth through customer and shopper insights and data-driven strategies? Join us as a Category Manager for the Finnish Market In this role you will, together with the commercial team, cultivate valuable partnerships with key customers to shape and drive your category's strategic direction, inspire shopper behavior change and fuel growth.

You will join a global team of category managers from different markets, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning is essential. You will report to our Regional Category Manager and be based at Paulig Group's headquarters in Vuosaari, Finland.

Key tasks in this role:

  • Customer & Shopper-Centric Insights: Cultivate strong customer relationships by providing actionable insights into shopper behaviors, trends and category performance and using data-driven storytelling to inspire and influence.
  • Strategic & Tactical Planning: Shape category direction by adapting global strategies into locally relevant plans focused on assortment, pricing, promotions and placement to drive growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Growth Identification: Partner closely with sales and marketing to maximize category potential, identifying growth opportunities and crafting propositions that enhance customer value and profitability.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize analytics to optimize product assortments, pricing and shelf placement while identifying promotions that boost sales, visibility and align with strategic goals.
  • Support for Product Development: Provide shopper-focused insights to guide new product development and support launch presentations to the trade with category and shopper perspective.

What we expect from you:
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing or category management roles within an international environment. A diverse background and experience from a matrix organization is seen as an advantage.
  • Experience in FMCG and Finnish retail.
  • Strong strategic and tactical business understanding.
  • Structured and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities, preferably experience from Nielsen and POS data.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Effective leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Relevant educational background (e.g. Master's degree in business administration).
  • Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English.
