Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager at ABB Oy, Marine and Ports division in Vuosaari, Helsinki. This position reports to Head of Project Management.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Project leadership by leading and motivating the project team.
  2. Developing and managing project plans, schedules, finances, and risk & opportunities management.
  3. Overseeing project efficiency and ensuring all contractual obligations are met, applying industry best practices.
  4. Handling contracts, claims, and procurement per ABB policies.
  5. Striving to exceed customer expectations.
  6. Acting as the main contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project updates.
  7. Ensuring projects comply with ABB's health, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications for the role:
  1. M.Sc. in Engineering, Economics, or a related field, with a proven track record of 3+ years in project management.
  2. Proficient in project management, planning, and control, with framework competence. Project management certification is an advantage.
  3. Full accountability for complete project scope, including financials and risk management. Independently led large and complex delivery projects and initiatives in an international business environment with external clients.
  4. Target-driven, organized, and customer-oriented. Proven leadership skills and effective people management. Proactive communication with stakeholders.
  5. Experience in direct customer interactions, with fluent English communication skills. Finnish is an advantage.
  6. Experience in the Marine industry is a major advantage.
