What's your role?
You will be part of our Vaisala Compass team of twenty passionate Developers and Architects. The team uses best practices from Scrum, but is not constrained by it and has freedom to choose practical ways of working – to foster productive collaboration.
Compass is a cloud-based weather intelligence platform used by wind and solar energy producers for planning and managing renewable energy farms.
Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to create, prioritize and maintain the Product backlog – ensuring backlog items are clear, visible, and understood by the development team. You will be building and designing hands-on the next capabilities of our world-class product for the renewable energy industry. In this role, you will be working in close co-operation with different stakeholders, especially with Product Managers.
What will you bring?
- At least 5 years of experience working with software product development teams, preferably in-depth experience with measurement instruments - scientific algorithms knowledge as a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic role with varied responsibilities.
- Skills that are important to succeed in this role:
- Excellent teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills and mindset
- Ability to think strategically and understand customer needs
- Make well-informed decisions and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of software development processes, understanding user experience principles and having data-driven decision-making abilities
- Fluent spoken and written English
