Empowering Game Development Success

Remedy Entertainment Plc is searching for a talented Game Development Manager to empower our game development teams and drive them towards achieving exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the engine backlog of at least one Northlight team, proactively triaging the backlog on a daily basis and ensuring progress according to priorities.
  • Supporting the work planning of the teams and facilitating meetings such as sprint planning or backlog grooming.
  • Supporting the daily work of the team, assisting with cross-team collaboration and removing blockers.
  • Communicating progress and changes of plans to Northlight's development managers and technical teams, aligning on schedule targets.
  • Maintaining the team's short-term and long-term roadmap, breaking down high-level backlog items into actionable tasks for individual team members.
  • Tracking progress against defined milestone targets, managing the scope and flagging any risks.
  • Being accountable for teamwork practices.
  • Contributing to process development by implementing best practices with support from the rest of Northlight's development management team.
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience leading the daily work of technical teams in complex environments and supporting efficient collaboration.
  • Skilled in managing and clarifying requirements on a task/story level.
  • Experienced in working with highly technical development teams on topics such as memory management, performance optimization, streaming, graphics rendering, and more.
  • Familiarity with development methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Thriving in a team environment, sharing ideas, and learning from others. Experienced in collaborating with colleagues across different departments and able to present ideas clearly and coherently.
  • Independent work style, being organized, and documenting work efficiently.
Additional Skills We'd Like to See:
  • Programming background, preferably in C++ or C#.
  • Experience in game engine development or product development, especially building platforms/solutions extended or used by third parties.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tooling (Confluence, Jira).
