About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Technical Lead to join our team at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our application portfolio, providing leadership and guidance to the SAP Platform Operation team, and supporting the development of our long-term vision for the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the SAP Platform Operation team in day-to-day activities for efficient operation of the application portfolio.
  • Support the development of the long-term vision for the environment focusing on operational excellence, cost efficiencies, and automation.
  • Provide architecture support and oversight to ensure that build activities comply with Sandvik IT governance standards.
  • Lead and document processes for monitoring, maintenance, performance optimization, and Disaster Recovery of the platform services application portfolio.
  • Provide expert-level technical support and lead the investigation of complex issues and ensure timely resolution through effective problem management.
  • Analyze SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance across Sandvik divisions, with emphasis on ITGC (IT Governance and Control).
  • Ensure compliance of all configuration items within the Sandvik SAP landscape with Sandvik IT security guidelines.
  • Work with internal and external partners for implementing best SAP landscape management practices, including implementing a perfective maintenance approach across the entire application portfolio.
  • Responsible for ensuring all critical application services are monitored and escalation mechanisms are in place for responding to events.
  • Manage and lead the technical relationships with the assigned SAP AMS support service provider.
  • Experience working with internal and external audit.
Requirements

We are looking for a delivery-focused individual with good analytical and problem-solving capabilities, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to thrive in a multi-cultural team environment. A strong background in SAP eco-system and experience with large-scale SAP implementation projects (S/4HANA) are highly desirable. Agile methods and a strong appetite for new technologies are also essential.
