Our industrial segment includes areas such as production, logistics and supply chain operations. As Senior Manager, Subcontracting, you will lead the Subcontracting team and drive the development of our subcontracting operations. Together with your team, you will oversee and enhance our subcontracting sourcing strategy while managing the outsourced production of both semi-finished and finished goods for Anora globally. Your key responsibilities include evaluating and implementing external sourcing alternatives through comprehensive make-or-buy analyses and defining and documenting related processes. You will ensure that subcontracted production meets agreed-upon quality standards, is delivered on time, and remains cost-efficient. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to align subcontracting activities with broader business objectives. In this position you will report to VP, Sourcing.

Other key areas of responsibility:

  • Proactively monitor market offerings to identify new suppliers and services.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors that meet Anora's cost, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Develop and strengthen profitable collaborations and partnerships with both new and existing suppliers.
  • Plan and lead supplier negotiations, working closely with legal to finalize contractual agreements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring contractual compliance, cost performance, and overall operational oversight of selected suppliers.
  • Drive the development of subcontracting processes and foster proactive collaboration within Anora.
  • Maintain expertise in internal and external production capabilities while providing external production benchmark data.
  • Support new product development when goods are produced externally.
  • Oversee the introduction of new products to subcontractors and integrate them into Anora's supply chain.
  • Lead and mentor a small team as a people manager.

What you need to succeed:

  • Proven leadership experience in managing subcontracting operations and supplier relationships, with a strong track record in cost reduction, negotiation, contracting, project management, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing and subcontracting; experience in production planning is an asset.
  • Experience in FMCG or other manufacturing-intensive industries.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including cost modeling, pricing structures, and financial analysis related to subcontracting.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, regulatory requirements, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, providing clear direction to stakeholders, resolving challenges efficiently, and adapting to new situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Legal teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • A university degree in business management, industrial economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English; Finnish language skills are an advantage.
