The Role

Samlink is on the lookout for an experienced software professional for the role of Test Automation Specialist.

As a Test Automation Specialist at Samlink, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. 

Your role will involve using your expertise to define test cases, developing, executing, and maintaining automation tests suits. You will analyze, track, and verify defects during the software development lifecycle, and contribute to designing, developing, implementing, executing, and troubleshooting automated test tools, test frameworks, and test scripts for application and API testing.

You will work closely with other team members to develop new features and products, and ensure that the implemented components are feature, integration, and system tested before being released to our customers.

Our operations are based on agile methodologies, and we use Version One and Jira as our testing management tools. Experience with banking systems and products such as cards, loans, payments, and international payments is advantageous. When making decisions, we value expertise, technical skills and skills in the Quality Assurance area, with specific knowledge of banking applications and business being a plus.

Required Skills And Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Test Automation Specialist role.

  • Excellent coding skills with RobotFramework and ability to create own libraries using python OR excellent coding skills with Selenium Webdriver in Java.

  • Debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of the QA processes, standards, tools and technologies.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

  • Good collaboration and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Finnish and English language.
     

Preferred Skills And Expertise

  • Knowledge/experience of the Banking & Financial Services Industry.

  • ISTQB foundation level certificate.

  • Experience with DevOps tools.

  • Professional experience in the banking and/or payments industry.

  • Experience in load/performance testing.
