Doctoral Researcher in Membrane Separation Process

We are seeking a highly motivated and research-oriented PhD candidate to join our team at the University of Oulu, Finland. Our research group focuses on developing innovative, energy-efficient membranes inspired by nature for blue energy harvesting.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and testing of new membranes, which is crucial for enhancing our knowledge and innovation in this area. The project involves collaboration across disciplines, and the candidate will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and enthusiastic team.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in chemical engineering or a related field, with a strong background in membrane separation processes, organic/inorganic chemistry, and material science. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Prior experience in membrane synthesis, modification, and applications is an advantage.
The position is fixed-term for 4 years, and the salary will be based on the levels 2-4 of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. A trial period of 6 months is applied in the position.
