Procurement Specialist Supply Chain Management

The Neural DSP production team is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join its ranks in Helsinki, Finland. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for securing materials needed for product development and mass production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Sourcing: Ensure material availability for development projects, including creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing logistics as needed.
- Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing partners to guarantee material availability for mass production.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date material information and costs in Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Supplier Setup: Manage supplier and material code setup within the ERP.
- Material Forecasting: Contribute to material forecasting from a sourcing perspective, as part of sales and operations planning.
- Supplier Meetings: Prepare and lead supplier meetings.
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage supply chain risks related to material availability, structure, cost competitiveness, and flexibility.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.
- New Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and select new suppliers.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance and address any issues.
Requirements:
- Sourcing and Procurement Knowledge: Deep knowledge of sourcing strategies, procurement processes, and best practices.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including negotiation, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Supply Chain Management: Understanding of the overall supply chain, including logistics, inventory management, and risk mitigation.
- Material Management: Experience with managing materials, including tracking, forecasting, and cost control.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contracts with suppliers.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions related to sourcing and supply chain.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Project Management: Ability to manage projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Risk Management: Capacity to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and experience with ERP/MRP systems for managing materials and supplier information.
- Education: Bachelor or Masters degree.
- Language Skills: Fluent spoken and written communication in English.
