Ahlstrom is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Procurement Trainee to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will support managing various fibers procurement processes and projects together with the internal stakeholders. You will also act as a key point of contact for non-wood and glass fibers related topics.

The trainee period lasts approximately 3-4 months and will start at the latest in June. The position is based in our headquarters in Espoo, but in this hybrid role, you will have the flexibility to work remotely and on-site.

Your main responsibilities:

• Communicate & confirm the Ahlstrom raw material demand between the suppliers and plants.
• Support new fiber requirements and coordinate the statuses with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support fiber ESG, traceability, risk management & supply chain development related projects.
• Report project statuses.
• Price list administration and documentation.
• Support the Procurement team with various other Procurement related tasks as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Commercial background (either direct work experience or university studies).
• Ongoing master's studies in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, business administration, logistics or any related discipline that supports a good understanding of procurement processes. Completed bachelor's degree is seen as an advantage.
• Ability to use MS Excel program fluently.
• Good communication skills & ability to push key topics forward to achieve results.
• Proactive and communicative mindset.
• Excellent communications skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible and positive mindset with good co-operation skills.
• A can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
