About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Player Safety Manager to join our team at Supercell in Helsinki. As a key member of our Trust & Safety Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our players across the globe.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Management: Develop and maintain programs that promote player safety and well-being, including moderation practices, filter management, and high-risk escalation.
  2. Product Ownership: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the development of tools and technologies that support player safety initiatives.
  3. Player Safety Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to promote community health and player wellness across Supercell games.
  4. Policy Development: Work with the T&S Team to establish and refine community guidelines, terms of service, and acceptable use policies.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams to generate cohesion and efficiency across all T&S efforts.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in player safety to inform improvements to existing processes.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology, criminology, game design, or similar).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting online communities.
  3. Strong understanding of online gaming and player behavior.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  6. Familiarity with tools and technologies for player monitoring and moderation.
  7. Experience with investigations and conflict resolution.
  8. Empathetic and patient, with the ability to handle sensitive player issues effectively.
  9. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to player safety.
  10. Passion for gaming and a commitment to creating a safe and enjoyable player experience.
  11. Ability to travel: roughly 30-40% of your time will be used to extend your expertise, in a physically present way, to moderation teams around the world.
