About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our Community Tech Team in Helsinki as a Technical Lead. The Community team plays a crucial role in engaging and exciting players across the globe through multiple platforms in the digital and physical world.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our game teams and the teams at Supercell who create the magic. Your colleagues are the faces of the games and the ones who advocate for the players within the game teams. We are here to build games and products that our players will love for years and years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement the technical architecture for our services, ensuring seamless integration with in-house developers and external agencies.
  2. Lead the development of high-quality web services, ensuring timely delivery and continuous evaluation of performance and quality.
  3. Collaborate with game teams, community managers, and external consultants to deliver seamless player experiences.
  4. Contribute to best practices on security, reliability, and scaling digital services.
  5. Work closely with our game teams, the Supercell ID team, and external digital agencies to ensure a unified player experience.

Requirements:

  1. Fluent in CSS and experienced in design systems that work well on mobile and desktop platforms.
  2. Previous experience in writing backend code for web applications.
  3. Experience with Linux shell and scripting languages.
  4. An open and respectful attitude towards others and their work.
  5. Experience with cloud computing (e.g. AWS) and Terraform.
  6. Located in or willing to relocate to Helsinki.
  7. Eagerness to integrate our products into the games.
  8. Passion for games and online communities around games.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  1. Docker and Terraform.
  2. Experience with C++ and game development.
  3. Prior experience in the field of games is a plus, but not required as long as you are passionate about games.
