\Job DescriptionThe Senior Patent Specialist will play a key role in creating and managing Nokia's leading patent portfolio. You will work closely with researchers, subject experts and standard delegates to identify and protect high-value device-related inventions.
\Key Responsibilities- Capture and manage Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) with emphasis on invention evaluation.
- Collaborate with in-house patent professionals and external associates to create high-quality patent applications in wireless technology.
- Manage the prosecution of patent applications across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
- Prepare and manage device-related standard implementation claim charts to support licensing and litigation projects.
- Promote a culture of innovation within the company by working closely with the R&D community and other in-house patent professionals.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Master's degree in electrical or electronics engineering, telecommunications, or a related field relevant to Nokia's business.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications and the mobile industry.
- Deep technical knowledge of 3GPP-related cellular technologies or various Wi-Fi and/or IEEE standards, and its implementation in Nokia's and/or third-party products.
- Good understanding of the patenting process or part-qualified European or National Patent Attorney.
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with other team members and across different business units.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
