Intellectual Property Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our patent portfolio team, responsible for driving innovation and growth through the management and monetization of Nokia's world-class Multimedia patent portfolio.

• Evaluating ideas, reviewing invention disclosures, and collaborating with inventors to develop innovative solutions that meet audio coding specifications.
• Filing and prosecuting patent applications that secure granted patent applications and manage personal patent portfolios.
• Performing prior-art searches and validity analyses on patents in speech/audio coding technology areas.

This position requires expertise in audio processing, speech/audio coding, spatial audio, and standards bodies such as MPEG, 3GPP, and ITU, with a strong focus on driving innovation and growth through patent portfolio management and intellectual property law.

• Expertise in audio codecs (e.g., EVS, AMR, AAC, MPEG-H, MPEG-I, IVAS) and experience in cellular communications and 3GPP standards.
• Broad knowledge of audio research and technology applications in virtual reality, augmented reality, and immersive audio.
• Experience in filing and prosecuting patent applications, patent portfolio management, and reviewing patent applications with claim charts.
• Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
