About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and business-oriented Director (M&A Legal) to lead the legal aspects of transactions within our M&A team. The M&A team is responsible for leading, managing, and executing M&A processes in accordance with our strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a Master of Laws degree, at least 8 years of experience in legal M&A, and experience working with a top-tier law firm. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as fluency in English and Finnish, and proficiency in other languages (especially Nordic). Experience and/or training in finance is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the legal workstream in complex corporate transactions, including coordinating with business teams, corporate functions, and external parties.
  • Securing the most favorable terms for our company by understanding the underlying business logic of the deals.
  • Providing pragmatic and commercially-focused legal advice across a range of transactions.
  • Collaborating effectively across functions within a matrix organization and with external stakeholders.
