The Impact of Your Role:

We seek a highly motivated Research Materials Specialist to join our dynamic team of over 30 talented individuals representing more than 20 nationalities. As a key member of our materials development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the creation of high-quality concrete mixes for our 3D printing processes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in hand mixing, preparing test equipment, and performing tests to assist the materials team.
  • Conduct quality control and testing of batch materials to ensure they meet specified standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain and update the inventory of materials and tools, ensuring that equipment is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
  • Oversee the in-house batch making process and ensure accurate mixing according to design requirements.
  • Take ownership of the purchasing process for materials, ensuring timely procurement according to project needs.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members, providing input on material requirements and mix designs, and maintaining accurate documentation of mix designs and quality control test results.
  • Work with the materials team to troubleshoot and optimize mix formulations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols for material handling, equipment usage, and laboratory maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in materials science, civil engineering, or a related field, accompanied by about 3 years of work experience in laboratory testing, or vocational education as a Laboratory Technician with approximately 3 years of experience in concrete or materials R&D laboratory.
  • Ability to lift heavy bags (max. 25 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
