We are looking for a (Senior) Electrical Engineer to the Small & Medium Bore Engine Testing team. The location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

Your role and responsibilities

As a (Senior) Electrical Engineer, your work will include the following tasks, which can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests:

  • Planning, organizing and executing component and performance tests on the production, laboratory and field engines.
  • Plan and execute measurements and automation related activities.
  • Analysing and reporting test results.
  • Working in close co-operation with development / engine test teams and expert organisation and supporting the validation and release / delivery process of engines and systems.
  • Developing and improving test methods and facilities.
  • Supporting production and field engines.

Requirements

  • Relevant technical education (BSc or MSc or equivalent in Electrical or Automation engineering).
  • Relevant technical background with Wärtsilä engine product family, system and solution.
  • Strong internal motivation, passion for execution.
  • Good communication and team working skills, as well as the ability to travel, work independently and globally.
  • Structured way of working.
  • Knowledge of reciprocating engine control systems like UniTool etc., and data acquisition systems seen as an advantage.
