Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical design professional to collaborate with our team on customer projects. As part of the energy transition, you will work with colleagues and customers globally to deliver exciting project results across various industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and reporting electrical activities in multidisciplinary projects, supporting the Discipline Lead Engineer in meeting quality, schedule, and electrical discipline goals, collaborating with local and global engineering team members, preparing HV, MV, LV system descriptions, specifications, and single line diagrams, contributing to concept, basic, and detail engineering activities related to power distribution, communicating effectively with stakeholders, interfacing with customers in the Electrical area, collaborating with subcontractors working on delivery projects, supporting site and workshop activities as required, and representing the company, taking technical ownership of assigned tasks or projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and report electrical activities in multidisciplinary projects.
  2. Support the Discipline Lead Engineer in meeting quality, schedule, and electrical discipline goals.
  3. Collaborate with local and global engineering team members.
  4. Prepare HV, MV, LV system descriptions, specifications, and single line diagrams.
  5. Contribute to concept, basic, and detail engineering activities related to power distribution.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  7. Interface with customers in the Electrical area.
  8. Collaborate with subcontractors working on delivery projects.
  9. Support site and workshop activities as required.
  10. Represent the company, taking technical ownership of assigned tasks or projects.

Qualifications:

  1. M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical or control engineering.
  3. Strong problem-solving abilities and systematic working style.
  4. Proficiency with engineering tools in the Electrical & Automation discipline.
  5. Fluent spoken and written English; additional Scandinavian language skills are an advantage.
  6. Good understanding of HV Grid connections and HV/MV Substations.
  7. Knowledge and experience of HV, MV, LV, and Control Systems.
  8. Willingness to travel.
  9. Negotiation skills.
  10. Presentation skills.
  11. Advantageous: knowledge of power generation and power grids, project management skills, cost awareness, and problem-solving skills.
