The successful candidate will support in undertaking financial crime risk assessments and take initiative to develop and enhance reporting financial crime management information across Nordea.

About this opportunity
 

Welcome to the Financial Crime Risk Assessment and Management Information Team (FCRAMI) of Group Financial Crime Prevention (GFCP). As part of Nordea’s financial crime strategy, we add value by playing a significant cross-functional role across several segments and business areas. The team provides timely and insightful analysis and reporting of the impact of Nordea’s control environment in reducing its inherent financial crime risk. As a GFCP Senior Expert, you will have a key role in the risk assessments the team undertakes as well as developing new performance measures to illustrate the impact of Nordea’s controls in reducing risk.

 

As the GFCP Senior Exper,t you’ll play a valuable role in creating a better defense against financial crime via smart solutions. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Strengthen the teams financial crime risk assessment strategy by conducting risk assessments and thematic reviews to identify vulnerabilities to financial crime typologies (money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and tax evasion)
  • Play a key role in the development, implementation and maintenance of the teams robust risk assessment frameworks and analytical tools to detect and prevent financial crime
  • Provide data-driven insights and reports to support informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Nordea to create control performance metrics to monitor and mitigate risk exposure
  • Support the teams Maturity Framework Reporting (MFR) strategy through embedding sustainable reporting across all Governance bodies split by Business Area / Business Unit and Jurisdiction

You’ll join a multicultural team with great expertise and passion withing the field. The role is available in one of our offices in Warszawa, Gdynia, Lodz, Tallinn, Stockholm or Helsinki.

Your experience and background: 

  • Documented and proven experience in undertaking risk assessments
  • Solid understanding of financial crime prevention and typologies
  • Organized, structured and professional in taking initiatives and driving discussions about risk and control
  • Extensive experience in handling regulatory issues in a highly dynamic and regulated environment
  • Experienced in communicating competently and confidently to management
  • Strong English language communication skills (spoken and written)

 

Your background including the following would be advantageous:  

  • Knowledge of relevant financial crime regulations impacting banks and experience in applying them in financial services 
  • International Compliance Association (ICA) Certification in Anti-Money Laundering or equivalent professional certification
