As Manager, Field Technical Service Engineering - Nordics, you will be leading the team to ensure Alcon equipment functions effectively. You will find and fix issues, recommend new products, and build customer relationships.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Leadership of the Nordics Technical Service team and Development Supervise, train, and develop Field Service associates to achieve departmental goals and ensure high team performance.

  • Service Operations Management Plan and oversee service activities to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective execution, including resource optimization aligned with strategic growth.

  • Training and Knowledge Sharing Deliver comprehensive training on product usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Customer Relationship Management Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction through effective service interactions and by building strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Sales Support and Collaboration Manage service agreement sales targets, support the team in achieving them, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to align on priorities.

  • Technical Expertise and Project Oversight Perform complex technical tasks including troubleshooting, diagnose & repair, installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance of Alcon surgical equipment within an assigned service territory; manage multiple technical projects and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree (e.g. in electrical, electronic, biomedical, mechanical, or optical engineering), Professional certificate or equivalent Professional experience

  • Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is required

  • Medical device experience in an engineering role within a theatre environment, working with advanced medical devices and medical lasers

  • Familiarity with GMP/QMS and local regulations

  • Strong leadership and management skills, fostering team effectiveness and motivation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for seamless collaboration

  • Proven financial acumen, adeptly managing budgets and achieving targets
