Summer Trainee in Manufacturing Technology Development

Job Description

• Duration: 5 months / flexible
• Target start date: Spring 2026 / flexible
• Educational recommendations: Current M.Sc. or B.Sc. students in relevant areas
• Location: Oulu, Finland

Within Manufacturing Technology or Automation & Industrial Engineering, your main responsibility will be to give technical support to production lines & machines, and to maintain & develop manufacturing processes and solutions.

In Tester Factory, your main responsibilities will be tester construction or purchasing activities.

Within Digital Manufacturing & Connectivity, you will develop and deploy SW for use cases that transform the factory operations.

Within RF & BB HW test engineering, we have opportunities in 5G functional testing development, that also may involve construction, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production testers in our product programs in co-operation with R&D.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a trainee, you will act as manufacturing engineer in one of the following areas:

• SMT
• Automation
• Industrial Engineering
• Tester Factory
• Digital Manufacturing & Connectivity

In these roles you may contribute to:

• Manufacturing automation
• Technology implementation and development
• Board assembly
• Final assembly
• Building up and maintaining production lines or testers
• Equipment and tools
• Maintenance
• SW development

Key Skills And Experience

• Industrial engineering, including automation, SMT and manufacturing technology
• Test engineering in general (development, maintenance, platform)
• Production
• Product repairing
• Quality assurance
• R&D
• Fluency in English (written & spoken)

Previous experience in testing as well as any knowledge of radio frequency and digital technology will help your application stand out from the crowd.
