About the Role

As a Physical Layer Software Engineer at Nordic Semiconductor, you will play a key role in specifying and developing software for wireless technologies. This includes designing the architecture and overseeing the development of the software from requirement analysis to verification. Your responsibilities will also include maintenance of the software asset and interfacing with other software entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing Physical Layer software architecture
  • Maintenance of the software asset
  • Interfacing with other software entities
  • Investigating and resolving technical issues

Qualification and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Telecommunications, ICT, or equivalent education
  • Long history of working with wireless technologies (15+ years) with excellent cellular protocol stack knowledge
  • Good programming skills in C and Python
  • Strong experience in embedded real-time systems and operating systems
  • Experience using system testers
  • Technical skills in RF/DSP area required to contribute to Physical layer test system and test case development
  • Knowledge of ARM microprocessor architecture is an advantage
