About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Designer to join our agile design and development team at Veikkaus. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for providing solutions, guidelines, and continuous improvement of best practices related to our current and future gaming products and services.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design process for new and existing cloud-based SaaS products, ensuring they meet customer needs and preferences.
  2. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and insights to refine the product design.
  3. Analyze customer feedback, user data, and market trends to identify pain points and opportunities for enhancing the product experience.
  4. Create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually compelling interfaces that align with the product's vision and business goals.
  5. Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows to stakeholders.
  6. Validate design choices and measure the effectiveness of design solutions using appropriate methods.
Requirements
  1. Strong portfolio and 5+ years of experience in product-centric design with digital products.
  2. Understanding of agile methodologies and philosophy.
  3. Good documentation skills and natural ability to communicate with users to find the best possible user experience.
  4. Interest and ability to conduct different types of user studies (questionnaires, observations, qualitative research, etc.).
  5. Strong knowledge of design systems and applications (we use Figma as a design software).
  6. Experience in light UI-prototyping.
  7. Good visualization skills (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar).
  8. An appropriate degree (BA/MA or similar polytechnic degree) or otherwise acquired appropriate competence.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience from the gaming industry or developing digital products in B2C environments.
  2. UI Animation skills (2D/3D).
  3. Ability to implement designs with CSS.
