About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Designer to join our team at Mehilainen, a leading provider of digital healthcare solutions. As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our Care Plans module, a comprehensive digital platform that enables care providers and patients to manage and engage in online care programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead design efforts for the Care Plans module, from discovery to delivery, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  2. Develop and implement design solutions that address complex problems, reframing challenges and taking on ambiguous concepts.
  3. Create journey maps, flows, and diagrams to effectively communicate design decisions and experience patterns.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers, to craft customer-centric and accessible product experiences.
  5. Conduct research to identify product opportunities and insights, using various methods to inform design decisions.
  6. Deliver clear and comprehensive UX/UI specifications, ensuring that design solutions meet business requirements.
  7. Present and communicate design concepts to stakeholders of varying backgrounds, effectively articulating design decisions and trade-offs.

About You
  1. You have relevant experience as a product or UX/UI designer, preferably in an in-house role, with a portfolio that showcases your work.
  2. You are a curious and detail-oriented professional, with a deep understanding of design principles, research methods, digital accessibility, and cross-functional product development practices.
  3. You can translate concepts into viable solutions, and are comfortable with learning how integrations and technical limitations affect our product.
  4. You have strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and trade-offs in a clear and concise manner.
  5. You are proficient with design and specification tools, such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
We're Looking for Someone Who
  1. Has experience working on complex cross-platform B2B or B2C products.
  2. Is comfortable approaching design challenges in a flexible and iterative way.
  3. Has excellent English skills, with good command of Finnish a plus.
