Winthrop Engineering and Contracting Limited is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients. Our company is headquartered in Dublin and delivers throughout Europe.

We specialise in providing turnkey data centre solutions, offering services from design through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical services as well as commissioning.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight. As part of our expanding team, we are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Commissioning Manager.

The ideal candidate will act as the point of contact and coordinate with numerous stakeholders, both internal and external. The position requires a balanced mix of technical and project management experience and skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Management and supervision of Cx Package engineers
  • Define and implement work scope
  • Monitor and manage delivery of scope
  • Effective communication of deadlines and programme milestones
  • Management of project Cx Programme including milestone and deadline management
  • Familiarisation and compliance with contract documents and procedures
  • Planning and management of Vendor FAT/FWT with possible attendance if necessary
  • Management of CFCI and OFCI vendors CX Scope
  • Communication to all Cx Stakeholders
  • Participation in Daily/Weekly Cx meetings, internally, vendor, and client
  • Preparation and submission of Cx Progress and technical reports to line manager
  • Coordination and alignment with Project QAQC Dept to achieve common objectives
  • Coordination and alignment with Project AP Dept to achieve common objectives
  • Management of relevant project Cx documents such as Test Scripts and Compliance statements
  • Receipt, review, and compliance of project CX documentation to achieve the necessary CX level sign off
  • Sole Point of Contact for management and reporting of the planning and execution of scopes and deliverables
  • Identification, documentation, and management of the construction phasing deliverables of the relevant systems
  • Bi-weekly reporting of progress through the respective Design, Procurement, Execution, and Handover phases
  • Coordination with the Client on snagging and handover
  • Facilitation, coaching, and aid in the scheduling of the installation and site onboarding (H&S, Method Statements, etc.)
  • Ensuring Health and Safety compliance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or a Trade with relevant training and experience
  • Process-driven individual with a focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes is desirable
  • Ability to solve problems analytically and act decisively
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within a construction environment with experience in Commercial, Industrial, Pharma, and data centre type projects is desirable
