Job Description:

This role offers an opportunity to lead the Underground Drilling Division's Production Unit in Finland.

You will be responsible for operational and cost performance, managing functions such as Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), production planning, procurement, production and delivery, assembly sub-contractor vendor management, and new product introduction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Underground Division Production Unit in Finland with full responsibility for operational and cost performance.
  • Managing functions in the Production Unit: S&OP, production planning, procurement, production and delivery, assembly sub-contractor vendor management, and new product introduction.
  • Developing and executing long-term supply strategy and target setting in accordance with division strategy.
  • Driving and improving performance to achieve set targets with the supply management team, in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Planning and developing flexibility of the supply network in changing demand and market situations, including suppliers, inventories, subcontracted assembly vendors, and internal production organization.
  • Ensuring effective and customer-focused S&OP process to enable best possible availability for Sales at the lowest possible cost.
  • Ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products from the Production Unit.
  • Ensuring clear and transparent communication to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring competence development and motivation of Production Unit personnel to meet current and future needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and global/local requirements, and with Sandvik's standards and policies.

Your Background and What We Find Important:

You are an experienced leader with hands-on experience managing large and complex operations.

You should have a university degree in a related field, preferably a M.Sc. in Engineering or Management.

You have relevant experience and proven results in supply chain and production management.

You should have a solid understanding of supply chain's impact on production flow and business.

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, factory physics, and strong change management skills are seen as advantages.

You have excellent influencing skills and an ability to develop trusted collaborative relationships with other divisions and business stakeholders.

Communicating fluently in Finnish and English is mandatory.
