The Role

  • As a Senior Data Engineer at Kempower, you'll develop scalable and cost-effective data solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to make a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Develop data solutions that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders, including future-proofing our existing data platform.
  2. Create production-grade data solutions in co-operation with internal stakeholders.
  3. Improve existing data models to build scalable and cost-effective data solutions.
  4. Build new and optimize existing data pipelines, ensuring high-quality data governance.
  5. Plan and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  6. Mentor and support junior colleagues in the team.

Key Technologies

  • AWS services like Kinesis, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • TimescaleDB for time series data storage.
  • ElasticSearch as the analytical application backend.
  • Databricks with PySpark and SQL for large-scale analytics.
  • Terraform for maintaining infrastructure.

Skills We Value

  • Prior experience with streaming analytics (Flink, Structured streaming in Spark).
  • Experience with data modelling in IoT context.
