The University of Oulu offers an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of plasmonic nanopore biosensors. As a specialist in fabrication and characterization, you will play a key role in developing single molecule biosensors.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and characterizing plasmonic nanopore, nanotube biosensors on silicon nitride membranes and glass nanopipettes. You will also measure ion currents and Raman spectroscopy of biological samples (molecules, liposomes, and cells) on the biosensors.

  • Fabricate and characterize plasmonic nanopore, nanotube biosensors on silicon nitride membranes and glass nanopipettes.
  • Measure ion currents and Raman spectroscopy of biological samples (molecules, liposomes, and cells) on the biosensors.

The project aims to integrate artificial cells, biological vesicles, molecular cell biology, plasmonic nanopores with AI data analysis. You will work closely with our multinational team and have access to state-of-the-art micro- and nanofabrication facilities, characterization facilities, and biological facilities.
