About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team at Wolt, focusing on expansion and supporting our business operations in new countries.

As a key member of our Legal team, you will play a crucial role in implementing legal advice into our operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and building new processes to scale our legal advice to the organization.

You will work closely with our internal and external legal teams, coordinating legal advice from local law firms, and ensuring that things move forward at the right pace in the right order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our expansion and other teams working on opening new countries with strategic questions and day-to-day legal matters.
  • Coordinate legal advice from local law firms and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Implement legal advice into our operations, ensuring that we build compliant business operations from scratch.
  • Build new processes around expansion to help us scale our legal advice to the organization.
  • Assess and manage risks while supporting the business.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and find solutions.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of legal experience as an in-house counsel and/or from a law firm in an international setting.
  • Master of Laws degree from a reputable university in the EU.
  • Interest in taking on a generalist legal role with a broad range of tasks.
  • Experience in working in close cooperation with internal and external legal teams and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, commercial mindset, generalist skills, and strong expertise with a solutions-driven can-do attitude.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel.
