
Laboratory Support Specialist

We're seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant - Construction Materials to join our growing team of 30+ talented colleagues representing more than 20 nationalities. If you're passionate about hands-on work, enjoy learning about concrete materials, and thrive in a fast-paced international start-up environment, this could be the perfect fit.
As a key member of our materials development team, you'll assist in creating high-quality concrete mixes for our 3D printing processes. Your responsibilities will include preparing dry batch mix, testing materials, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with other team members.
This role is ideal for a candidate with relevant education and work experience in laboratory testing, who is eager to learn about concrete laboratory work and contribute to groundbreaking projects. You'll need to be physically strong and able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the materials team in hand mixing, preparing test equipment, and performing tests
- Conduct quality control and report test results to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Maintain the inventory of materials and tools, ensuring equipment is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition
- Oversee the in-house batch making process and ensure accurate mixing according to design requirements
- Purchase materials, ensuring timely procurement according to project needs
- Collaborate with other team members, providing input on material requirements and mix designs, and maintain accurate documentation of mix designs and quality control test results
Must-Have Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in materials, civil or chemical engineering, or related field, and about 3 years' work experience in laboratory testing
- Ability to lift heavy bags of max. 25 kg and perform physically demanding tasks
