About the Role

Nordcloud is seeking a skilled Cloud Strategist to join our team in Finland. As a Cloud Strategist, you will play a key role in helping our clients thrive on their cloud journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Cloud Strategies
    • Create cloud strategies and roadmaps for clients, translating them into design of target operating models supported by a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE)
    • Drive digital transformations from strategy to successful implementation
    • Cloud-enable clients by supporting the design of Enterprise/Target Architecture
    • Support CxO/digital initiatives to enable innovation and growth
    • Advise on existing new ways of working and creating transparency for new consumption methods (e.g. OPEX vs. CAPEX, FinOps)
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders
    • Create strategic plans with Delivery (Project & Programme) Managers, sales colleagues, and senior customer stakeholders to build the transformation & delivery roadmap
  • Travel and Communication
    • Occasional traveling in Finland or Europe may be an option, depending on the assignment and your preferences

Requirements

  • Cloud Expertise
    • Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into a cloud strategy and transformation plan (explaining technology to less technical people)
    • General understanding of public cloud technology, new delivery models (e.g., DevOps), and organization restructuring (impacts of new normal)
    • High-level architecture know-how for at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - currently we prefer Azure)
  • Communication and Management
    • Extremely structured and high-quality management recommendation for deliverables (problem-solving, presentations, etc.)
    • Fluent communication skills in both English and Finnish
  • Additional Skills
    • Experience working with Finnish public sector clients
    • Understanding of modern AI and data technologies and how those can be harnessed in organizations
    • Experience with SAFE
    • Practical experience in a topical theme, such as ESG, Green ICT or AI
