About the Role

We are now seeking a dynamic and safety-oriented Mechanical Service Engineer to join our skilled team in the Marine Agreements Field Service Resources team. The successful candidate will oversee field service resourcing for two extensive maintenance agreements with Marine customers, managing all engine maintenance and monitoring, both scheduled and unscheduled.

The role involves performing field service activities such as overhauls, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Wärtsilä 4-stroke marine diesel engines, including the Wärtsilä 46, 46F, 46 Common Rail, 46 TSDF, and Sulzer ZA40S. You will provide our customers with technical expertise and strive to deliver the best possible service experience, all while adhering to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Performing field service activities on Wärtsilä marine diesel engines according to the work plan and contractual obligations.
  • Conducting contract-specified overhauls and maintenance with the customer Riding Team.
  • Coordinating, delegating and executing on-site RT tasks.
  • Interacting professionally with customers throughout work execution, delivering solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Providing internal and external progress updates on assigned work.
  • Following up and reporting on the status of work orders to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Creating Service Work reports.
  • Adhering to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines, regulations, site procedures, and policies.
