Job Description

Are you interested in a global HR career? Could you see yourself as part of an HR Service Center supporting our business across EMEA? Are you interested in a job with a wide variety of tasks? And are you driven by quality, employee experience, and process optimization? If so, you might be a perfect fit for our position as Payroll and HR Admin Professional in our EMEA HR Services organization.

We have just implemented a new HR delivery model in Danfoss. This means you will be joining a newly established HR Services organization with a strong pioneering spirit and an ambition to deliver state-of-the-art HR services to our business.

We are a growing organization that is continuously taking over more tasks. This means that there are plenty of opportunities to leverage and further build your HR foundation. From your side, having a flexible, curious, and open mindset will be a big advantage.

You will be based at our office in Vaasa.

Job Responsibilities

As an HR Professional, you will be supporting our payroll setup in Finland, providing in-house payroll services in close collaboration with a colleague.

Like the other part of your job, you will be doing contract management for Northern Europe, working with our contract team. In this role, you will not only be providing contracts but also be part of shaping how we will handle pre-boarding and delivery contracts for EMEA going forward.

We have a dream team that is located across EMEA, and you will be reporting to the Service Center Manager, EMEA, who is based in Poland. You will have HR colleagues sitting next to you, but you need to be ready for also working virtually.

In your daily job, you will handle the following tasks:

  • In-house Payroll: Process monthly payroll for our Finnish sites, apply for allowances, support audits, and generate reports.
  • Contract management: Handle pre-boarding (in the onboarding module in SuccessFactors) and prepare contracts and addendums for Northern Europe (in English).
  • Collaboration: Work with divergent functions across HR, Finance, and external payroll partners to ensure seamless deliveries.
  • Employee queries: Act as a point of contact on payroll and HR admin-related topics working in our ticket system ServiceNow.
  • Documentation: Document tasks and processes in work instructions and create and maintain knowledge articles supporting self-service in the business.

We imagine that you hold a relevant bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or have equivalent work experience. We expect you to have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Payroll & HR, preferably from an international company. Payroll experience is required, while in-house payroll experience is a plus. Contract management expertise is highly desirable together with working in request handling systems. You are a quick learner, have a global mindset, and an appetite for working in a setup where we are exploring new and more efficient ways of working.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • A team player who will contribute to making our talented team even better.
  • Initiative, drive, and an outgoing personality.
  • High focus on quality and understanding of good customer service.
  • Structured and disciplined mindset.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • Finnish speaking is a must.

Please apply at your earliest convenience. We do not have an application deadline but accept applications if the job is posted. The position will be closed once we have found the right candidate.
