Would you like to play a part in building a better bank that fulfills a meaningful role in society? We are looking for a Compliance Officer / Senior Compliance Officer. You will be identifying, advising, and evaluating compliance risks with a focus on the product governance framework, as well as engaging in dialogue with the business concerning the handling of these.

About the team

Welcome to the Conduct, Advisory and Products Compliance team. We add value by upholding a robust internal framework for good conduct towards our customers, with a particular focus on safeguarding the interests of vulnerable customers. As the Compliance/Senior Compliance Officer, your area of responsibility includes supporting the product governance framework, as well as ESG requirements in Nordea, primarily towards the Retail segment. You will have the opportunity to get insight into a variety of initiatives across business areas, functions, and countries. Our business is both local and Nordic

What you'll be doing:

  1. Identifying, describing, and assessing compliance risks
  2. Maintaining and developing our internal framework for managing compliance risks
  3. Regulatory change assessments
  4. Monitoring and testing of controls and activities
  5. Interacting closely with several stakeholders in Group Compliance and the business lines
  6. Reporting assurance results, compliance risks, and risk management

The role is based in Helsinki, Copenhagen, or Stockholm.

  1. Have a few years of work experience, preferably from the financial sector. You also have experience within compliance, risk, or legal.
  2. Have a high degree of integrity, are driven, and easily take initiative.
  3. Are prepared to work in an environment with many changes, take responsibility for developing your own skills, and ownership of your responsibilities.
  4. Are known for your analytical thinking and structured approach with attention to detail.
  5. Find it easy to build relationships at all levels of a company, using strong communication skills.
  6. Have a very good understanding of investment products and the financial markets.
  7. Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  8. Have excellent English skills as well as fluency in any of the Nordic languages.
