Winthrop Technologies is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe.

Winthrop specialises in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with the senior project team to procure key subcontract packages and other critical elements of the works.
  2. Generating quantified work packages, ITTs & budgets from technical documents. Analysis & presentation of tender returns.
  3. Preparation and agreement of subcontract documents.
  4. Commercial management of multiple subcontract packages from order through to final account, monthly payments, variation and claims management.
  5. Continuous monitoring of costs and financial entitlement on the packages/projects under your control.
  6. Active engagement with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, designers and internal team members.
  7. Submission of contractually compliant commercial documentation.
  8. Development, submission and agreement of external valuations.
  9. Negotiation and agreement of variations, omissions and final accounts with subcontractors and clients in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Regular cost/value and cash flow reporting.
  11. Pro-actively work to resolve conflicts where possible.
  12. Supervision and development of junior members of the commercial team.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Relevant degree with 6+ years' experience in a main contracting environment.
  2. Strong technical understanding of building construction & processes.
  3. Familiarity with various methods of measurement.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong business relationships.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Excellent budgeting and financial forecasting skills.
  7. Familiarity with Buildsoft, CostX or similar is advantageous.
  8. Data Centre experience is advantageous.
