Dynamic pricing, initially pioneered by airlines and hotels, is a rapidly growing trend expanding into an increasing number of industries. Priceff is a Helsinki-based SaaS company offering a unique solution for optimizing pricing in rentals, bookings, and transportation. Despite our small size, we are profitable, growing, and committed to innovation. In addition to our core business, we engage in academic research to advance the field of price optimization.

We are looking for a full-time full-stack developer who will be involved in various parts of developing the Priceff solution. The first task will be to build a UI and support in finalizing the backend of Priceff platform v4.

The ideal candidate has the drive to grow and develop alongside Priceff, contributing to the advancement of Priceff's development environment and technological quality.

Responsibilities

  • Development of Priceff's upcoming new frontend and backend versions together with our CTO and Data Architect
  • Assisting in the upkeep of the current version of the Priceff application
  • Assisting in designing application architecture and features
  • At times, assisting in customer it-meetings

Technologies

  • Frontend: React.js
  • Backend: Rust (& Node.js in platform v3)
  • AWS

Requirements

  • Interested in all the different stages of application development
  • Not afraid to take responsibility
  • Experience in developing both frontend and backend applications
  • Experience with Rust or a similar compiled statically typed language
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar
  • Excellent English and Finnish skills

Preferably you have the following

  • Interest in building Priceff into an international success story and leaving your mark on our company culture
  • Preferably minimum two years of relevant part time or full time work experience
  • Great analytical skills, already proven in previous job(s) and studies
  • Some AWS experience is considered a plus
  • Data analysis skills e.g. with R or Python is considered a plus
  • Great people skills in facilitating meetings, discussing analytical topics and ability to explain complex concepts to various audiences
  • Ability to analyze and understand customer business performance and needs and turn them into pricing solution requirements and configuration
  • Interest in pricing and related business logic
  • Capability to grow with the company and role
  • A good sense of humor. We work in a professional manner, but life should not be too serious all the time :)

About us

Priceff is a growing Helsinki-based company with a lot of experience in pricing and related research. We have iconic b2c brands as customers in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Italy. We currently optimize prices of e.g. car rentals, ferry and bus tickets as well as food home delivery. We see much future potential in areas like event tickets and car charging.

Our office is at Elimänkatu in Vallila. We work in a flexible hybrid mode, aiming at being on average at least two days of the week in the office.
