Full stack Developer, Content Management Systems (Helsinki)

Digital Services is a dynamic unit responsible for creating a wide range of services for both corporate and consumer customers. We employ a variety of different talent ranging from designers to developers to product owners and more, all working together to innovate and deliver new services.

Elisa and our new Content Management Systems team are looking for talented full stack developer with practical experience in design (UI and UX).

Our goal is to renew and replace our platforms so that they enable our content creators to use their imagination and skills to the fullest.

As a designing developer, you will focus on our content creators' needs, both how they can create content and how it will look when published. You'll collaborate closely with multiple teams that use our CMS systems and gather an understanding of what kind of visuals we want to show and how different components should work. This will be done together with other designers in Elisa and support from the whole team. Designing is just one part of the work. A large allocation of your time will be spent on hands-on programming along with the rest of the team. This position will give you a first-hand view and the possibility to impact the vision of how our web presence will look like.

We expect you to have
  • +5 years of full stack experience (can be front end leaning)
  • Proven experience in building working software using modern methods and technology stacks suitable for online applications
  • Proficiency in coding with React, Python, Java, and Go. Knowledge of other programming languages is an advantage
  • Knowledge or at least interest to investigate new solutions (like AI powered search) is appreciated
  • Good understanding of Agile ways of working and ability to guide your team accordingly
  • Excellent interaction skills and fluency in English. Finnish is a plus.
  • Experience in working with open-source projects is appreciated

We are also looking for someone who shares with us a strong sense of ownership of the team's results, as well as an interest in implementing Elisa's architecture guidelines and processes as part of the team's everyday routines and making your team fit well as part of the "bigger picture". Last but not least, we hope you have a relaxed mindset and flexible ways of working are appreciated, as we like to have also fun, not just work

Your closest stakeholders are based in Helsinki, Pasila. We have a hybrid work model in place, where the expectation is that Elisians will work on average three days a week at the office.
