The opportunity

Are you a forward-thinking leader with a passion for pioneering 3D bioprinting technology with the potential to revolutionize the way cell culture, diagnostics and drug testing are done today? HydroXGel is developing a novel polymer-based hydrogel that is suitable for 3D printing cells and manufacturing a range of artificial tissues and organs. We are seeking an ambitious Chief Executive Officer and co-founder to lead this innovative future spinout company from the University of Helsinki.

About Us

3D bioprinting is a rapidly developing technology that could be used to manufacture artificial tissues or organs. However, there are deficiencies in the currently available materials used as bioinks. The research group, headed by Professor Robert Luxenhofer, has patented new materials, with unparalleled printability and performance. Our group has expertise in chemistry, engineering, and biology as needed for this multi-disciplinary technology.

Your Role. As the CEO and co-founder, you will:

  • Lead the spinout company from its inception, driving the commercial strategy and operations.
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy, ensuring the successful commercialization of our technology.
  • Lead negotiations and fundraising efforts to secure seed funding and drive company growth.
  • Plan and execute business development activities to expand the company internationally.
  • Build and maintain relationships with international stakeholders.
  • Inspire and lead a dynamic team of experts and innovators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
