The Role

Next Games, a Netflix Game Studio, is a Helsinki-based studio dedicated to crafting fans-first interactive experiences that combine the stories from popular movies and shows with engaging game mechanics. We're looking for a Senior Producer to join our Production team and be the driving force behind one of our exciting new game projects.

You are an experienced leader with natural people skills and an active approach to resolving team- and personal challenges. You coach your team, enabling them to enhance their skills and adopt efficient practices and ways of working.

You have a solid understanding of games as products, which enables you to ask the right questions from designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as a clear understanding of Live-Ops and running live games.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day, week-to-week, and sprint-to-sprint development cycles of the game, organizing the development of the feature teams, with a clear understanding of the importance of velocity.

Responsibilities

  1. Finding effective ways of working and organizing the production of the game
  2. Planning the project's timeline and scope, identifying risks, and drafting mitigation plans for them well in advance
  3. Articulating and communicating the product backlog to all stakeholders
  4. Organizing the day-to-day development work of feature teams
  5. Defining, updating, and enforcing Definition of Done and Definition of Ready for team deliverables
  6. Coaching the team to be self-organized and cross-functional, and helping clarify roles within the team
  7. Creating, owning, and facilitating agile events (Daily, Review, Retro, and Planning)
  8. Removing impediments on feature team and game team levels
  9. Coaching the team on agile methods, ensuring everybody understands why they are being used
  10. Mediating conflicts and nurturing team dynamics

Your Experience and Skills Include

  1. Proven track record of producing and shipping multiple games with modern Agile methodologies
  2. Experience with mobile games' live operations and shipping updates
  3. Strong leadership experience
  4. Strong experience in managing team dynamics within a game team
  5. Ability to set up and configure the team's production tools and information radiators
  6. Deep knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  7. A passion for games and understanding of the games industry
  8. Ability to adjust to the given production framework and tools
  9. Disciplined and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  10. Experience in working with senior levels of management
  11. Experience in working with external teams
  12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
